I have been blessed with remarkable friendships in my life. Today, I’d like to share a message from one such beautiful friend, Laura Plato, who began a wonderful blog, “Beyond Triple Negative: Inspiration + Support + Fun for Thrivers, Survivors + Caregivers,” to share her journey as healer, including for herself post-cancer diagnosis. Laura allows us to see into the deepest places of her heart, mind, and soul. Her willingness to gift us with such a view opens space for us all to see our own selves and journeys more clearly, to experience our own essences with greater depth and light, to ignite our own courage to stand more vibrantly in who we BE.
Laura, you inspire me always, Courageous Heart, Belle Sœur des étoiles!
Here’s a note from Laura:
For context, my Beyond blog is a place where I share openly as a healer about my own healing journey. This blog is part of the commitment I made post-diagnosis to be a support to others, and is one of the places I attempt to fully embrace my healer’s path, and share my authentic self. This post came after several days of coaching and working alongside cancer survivors, sharing Reiki with them and teaching about the opportunities that dis-ease can bring for personal growth. A key awareness about my next phase of healing came to me during a great Reiki session: so much of my work is only just beginning, and even greater courage and authenticity will be required for me to help transform the landscape of holistic survivorship and oncofertility as I hope to do. My gratitude to you all for allowing this expression of my life’s work to be a part of this space! I welcome your comments and thoughts, should you wish to share any!
And here is her most recent blog post:
Wrestling the map
I’ve been wrestling with something. Something that, for me, feels really big. It’s felt super big for at least the last ten months, but really, it has felt pretty-close-to-super-big for… well, if I’m honest, for the whole of my life.
I’m talking about authenticity.
Sharing your truth. Sharing your opinions. Sharing your experiences. Sharing your discoveries, your hopes, your dreams, your words, your work, your art, your expression. Sharing your love, your passion, your compassion, your kindness, your soft underbelly, your faith, your marrow, your gifts.
Sharing whatever it is that feels like the Most Important Stuff of All Time, even if it’s just for that one moment, even if it’s just the Most Important Stuff of All Time to You. Continue reading →
