Conscious Evolution: How to Thrive in our Transforming World

By Denise Sheehan

"It is not necessary to change. Survival is not mandatory." ~ W. Edwards Deming

"Civilization as we know it is coming to an end right now... We must make this evolutionary leap or become extinct." This is how Bruce H. Lipton, Ph.D., opened his presentation, "The Biology of Belief: Mind over Genes," on August 14, 2010 in Grass Valley, California.* During his presentation, Dr. Lipton offers a very thorough history of science to demonstrate where we've been and where we're going in our evolutionary path as humans. He shows that for the first time in the history of our planet, we face the possibility of extinction. In contrast to the five former extinctions from forces outside of our control, like meteors, this sixth one is self-created, based on human behavior. At these crossroads, we have a choice: extinction or evolution. Should we choose to evolve, what wisdom and resources are available to us to help us create our evolutionary journey? A few ideas emerge from Dr. Lipton's work that we can put into practice right away.

Reiki for Healing and Spiritual Transformation

By Denise Sheehan

Innately a spiritual seeker, I find it easy to integrate tenants of many spiritual teachings into my life. Ultimately, however, I am highly energy sensitive and I've experienced many medical "mysteries" since earliest childhood. Because of this, I am drawn to explore the connection between energy, healing, and spirituality.

The first time I experienced Glossary Link Reiki (pronounced "RAY-key") energy, I felt a profound sense of calm, peace, bliss, and divine love. The contrast between how I felt during Reiki and my normal way of being was quite jarring. You see, back then I was a type-A, stressed-out workaholic out saving the world. I felt such transformation just from someone "laying hands" on me? How could this be? What is Reiki?

Selecting a Life Coach & Assessing "Coachability"

By Denise Sheehan

Glossary Link Life coaches come in many variations and with numerous titles, including, but not limited to:

  • Soul Coach
  • Professional Coach
  • Transition Coach
  • Leadership Coach
  • Career Coach
  • Relationship Coach
  • Wellness Coach

Co-active coaches (as I am) don't offer advice or solutions. They don't choose your actions for you. They DO help you to access your inner wisdom, because YOU are naturally creative, resourceful, and whole! Guided by your inner wisdom, your life creatively unfolds with depth and meaning, attracting all you desire with much more focus, clarity, and abundance. Anyone with the desire and will to consciously create their dream-life, but who falls shy in implementation, can benefit from life-coaching.

Coaching Myths and Misperceptions

By Denise Sheehan

My Glossary Link life coach, Marti Benjamin, once told me that describing Glossary Link life coaching is like trying to explain the flavor of chocolate ice cream. The only way to know what life coaching is like is to actually try it! Not only that, but your experience will change from life coach to life coach, as we have quite a variety of methods, strategies, tools, and areas of focus. We all bring our unique gifts to the coaching dance. I often hear myths and misconceptions about coaching. Here I will explore some of these, taking a contrary approach to describing coaching through the process of showing what it is not.
